Collaborate to help people affected by the earthquake in Myanmar.

On March 28, a 7.7 magnitude earthquake occurred in Myanmar, with 2,700 people registered dead and more than 3,400 injured. Hundreds of people are also missing. The number of victims and casualties is expected to rise in the coming hours as rescue teams continue their task.

Campaign objectives

Provide emergency assistance to all people affected by the earthquake in Myanmar.

Description

In response to this natural disaster in the Asian country, five NGOs of the Spanish Emergency Committee, Doctors of the World, Oxfam Intermón, Plan International, Educo and World Vision, are currently carrying out the first assessments and organizing their emergency response in the locations where they are present, focusing their efforts on providing shelter, food, education, water and sanitation and health care, either directly or through local partner organizations.

Activities
  • Deliver food supplies to the affected families.

  • Provide psychological first aid and post-traumatic psychosocial assistance to affected people.

  • Provide water purification tablets so that affected families can have access to safe water.
